Abstract: This study explores the role of project management training in enhancing project success, aiming to: 1) assess the effectiveness of different training programs, 2) evaluate the impact of training on project outcomes, and 3) recommend strategies for improving project management training. A survey design was chosen to collect data from project managers and team members. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 365 respondents was determined, ensuring a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error. The study was conducted in the education sector in Enugu, where training and development are critical. The reliability coefficient score of the survey instrument was 0.89, indicating high reliability. Findings revealed that comprehensive project management training programs significantly enhance project success by improving skills, knowledge, and competencies. Recommendations include investing in ongoing training programs, adopting a blended learning approach, and ensuring training aligns with organizational goals and project management standards.
